Why choose us? Well the answer is evident and the people we have assisted would agree, we are truly CONCERNED with the relationships that we build with these individuals that struggle with both re-entry obstacles and addiction. We are RELATABLE and have similar past experiences so that we can be EMPATHETIC, showing our client’s that we have walked in similar shoes of those we assist. We are EDUCATED in the field of psychology and specifically in drug and alcohol. We are EXPERIENCED having a combined sustained recovery of more than 15 years and a combined work experience of more than a decade.
We are intent on building a legacy for our community that will go on assisting individuals and families through their challenges of re-entry and recovery; so, that the cycle of incarceration and the shame of addiction can be broken and we as a community can enhance the strengths of those we know all possess. All glory will be given to the Lord our God, that through Him all things are possible.
Our story began in 2017 when we crossed paths in a drug and alcohol facility setting where we were both counselors. Both of us working on furthering our education and developing our own goals for the future. Eric was working on starting his own recovery house, so that he could assist in improving those lives in a secure and accountable living environment and I was working towards securing a position at PA Department of Drug and Alcohol, so that I could impact this population from a higher altitude. Learning that many of our ideals aligned the concept grew, however, neither one us were ready to change our lives trajectories. One thing was clear for both of us, that we were dedicated to assisting others in changing their lives for the better. — Andrea M Sutton, MSAC
